Description

20210903 - M33 (TRI) The Triangulum Galaxy - blink, and it’s gone 😳 … Is this what I think it is …😮

What was the experience
Is it a bird? Is it a plain? … It’s not a satellite for sure …
I was checking the subs I made last Friday night as extra data on M33, using blink in PixInsight …. All seemed ok, but then … I noticed this single sub 🤨, with a little streak on it, straight through M33 🧐 These were 600s subs, 10min, so any satellite would’ve shown up as a full/rotating trail across the entire Sub 🤔, or have the other stretches of it’s path on the other subs 🤔 The flash grows with intensity, and then dies out, just like a meteori.….😳 No, that would be too much of a coincidence, can’t believe it …It must be one of Musk’s presents 😜
I processed the single sub to have a closer look.
What do you think …. ?

Quote: “The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy 2.73 million light-years (ly) from Earth in the constellationTriangulum. It is catalogued as Messier 33 or NGC 598. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, behind the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way. It is one of the most distant permanent objects that can be viewed with the naked eye.”

What have I learned from this
The Astro-images always present you with new ideas, new questions on how to process them … The Million Dollar question on this one is : “Do I let PixInsight run its processing and have it removed … or do I keep it in ….?”

Clear Skies everybody! 🤩✨🔭
