Description

Dusty objects are my favorites!

NGC 1333, The Embryo Nebula a beautiful star forming region in the dense dust of the Perseus molecular cloud 960 light years away. These dust grains are covered in molecular hydrogen and are being drawn together into clumps by gravity. When these clumps become dense enough they collapse into a new born star as the hydrogen atoms begin fusing together into helium. This fusion radiates charged particles outwards in a solar wind causing more turbulence within the dust. These opposing forces make for some beautiful reflection nebulae, it looks like the dust cloud is burning from the inside out.
