Description

This image was captured over two nights in late May through an Astro-Tech 80ED with a ZWO ASI2600mm Pro using an EQ6-R mount and a Hutch field flattener.

The image comprises:

Ha:      50 x 300s
R:         20 x180s
G:        20 x180s
B:        20 x 180s

Total integration time was seven hours and ten minutes. The image was processed in Pixinsight and tweaked in Photoshop.

Sh2-88 is a diffuse nebula complex appearing amid the dense star fields of Vulpecula. In addition to the larger region on nebulosity, Sh2-88A,  two smaller nebula - Sh2-88B1 and Sh2-88B2 - appear to the right of the main nebula. The nebulae are estimated to be about 6,500 light years distant.
