Retirement is here!!! and I needed a hobby to keep me busy. Decided astronomy is the way to go and bought my first real telescope in December 2019 - just before the pandemic hit. I spent the first year concentrating on visual astronomy to learn the sky and the equipment. Bought a Canon EOS RP (mirror-less, full frame) camera in Jan 2021 and have started on my astro-photography journey.

Based in Calgary, Alberta Canada in the foothills of the Rocky mountains in a Bortle 7 zone.
