As long as I can remember, there was this strange interest in astronomy in me. I remember seeing a poster of the horsehead nebula hanging on a wall in my old school. I could not let my eyes from this strange nebula and I wasn't able to concentrate on the things that were more important in the classroom. In 1995 the comet Hale Bopp lit up the spark and the fire becomes burning. For more than two decades I dreamed of imaging the night sky, but never really did it. Then in 2020, more than 3 decades later, I put together my first astro photography rig and finally became a real astro photographer.
I got taught by so many people around the world who finally helped me reach the intermediate skill level. AstroBin always has been my goto platform in case I need any help. It is a great community and there are so many kind people out there. I'd like to thank Salvatore for his work and his idea to bring all of us together. Thanks to him, the world is even smaller than we all know it already is.
So I hope our community will keep growing and clear skies to everybody!!!
