I began astrophotography in the 90's, at the end of a field in the countryside, with the legendary celestron C8 associated with an Olympus camera body using hypersensibilised TP2415 kodak film.
Then, to facilitate my night sessions, I decided to built a permanent pier and my own observatory in the french department of LOT because of non polluted skies and the availability of familial facilities.
Alas the weather is capricious and clear nights are not so numerous !
I migrated to digital astrophotography after the millenium, thanks to popular SBIG ccd camera .
Due to my professional activities, I was obliged to give up "Imaging" during the 2010's. But,
since my retirement, I can now re-enjoy this activity and take advantage of the dramatic improvment of CMOS sensors sensitivity associated with the excellent price-performance ratio for asian technology. At the moment I appreciate the efficiency of my ZWO asi2600MC pro .
