Description

The Oakland Astronomical Society held our summer camp out in the Thumb near Snover MI. We were blessed with 5 almost completely clear nights in a row of which I made 2. I took this shot using a home made pano-tilt rig with my modified Canon M200 and 15 mm kit lens. Its a composition of 13 images taken over a roughly 180 degree field 7 on the horizon and 6 at 40 degrees elevation. Each frame is 3 by 120 s tracked using my Skyguider Pro.

We were roughly 100 miles North of Detroit but you can see she still makes quite a guest appearance in Scorpio and Sagitarius.

Thanks for looking.
