Description

I wasn't really happy with the first version so I gave it another go. I have a really bad habit of trying to process images the night that I get the final data. Wacky images can ensue. Original description below:

"I am not sure what to say about this one, probably because it's around 6:40 AM and I am totally wiped out.  What can I say, I just had to process this to see what I could get. I am pleased with this picture. We got a nice Crescent Nebula, the Soap Bubble, and some RGB stars to add that extra something. All from bortle 8 under a full moon - hence the title.

This was mostly a test to see if I could leave the rig set up while I was at work. There were a few mishaps such as not plugging in the cooler one night or actually forgetting to press the "go" button on another. Oops.

Oh well, I still got the data!

As for the processing I decided early on that RGB stars were going to be a must. It just adds so much more to any narrowband picture in my opinion. I also wanted to get away from the dull dark reds and browns that tend to come out in pictures taken in this region. As you can see I went with something colourful. Finally when it came to the actual Crescent, I didn't want to cook it too bad in order to preserve the Oiii shroud that seems to obsecure the Ha parts; almost like looking through water."
