Description

The attached animation of the South East limb was captured this morning my time or UT 2022/11/18 21:31 to 22:09  The weather here this morning while clear for the most part was quite windy blowing directly onto the scope.  I am still in experimental mode with my 5X Poweremate and still have e few issues to resolve mainly the slight newton rings I accidentally re-introduced. So ordinarily I wouldn't post this until resolved.  But something caught my eye between the bright eruption starting around 22:02 and ending 22:08. When the main eruption/flare starts it appears to have a couple of simultaneous fainter counterparts flaring toward the centre of the animation.  By rough calculation and using Jupiter as a guide, I figure these two are about say 150,000km give or take,  from the main flare, if indeed they are associated and it is not pure coincidence then I am quite amazed!
