Ladies and gentlemen of the night,

here is my first Jupiter of 2022 taken the same night as the Saturn. Unlike with Saturn, no tree came to distract this session only the clouds. I don’t regret anything I was already tired and I had the feeling the result would bring me to my best result for this planet. I even got 3 of the Galilean satellites: Io, Europe and Ganymede.

I followed my new procedure (after a tutorial of J. L. Dauvergne ): take few shoots in color, switch to the mono camera for a while (about 1 hour) and then finish with the color one again. So 6 movies in color in total and 32 in mono. Each one stacked with AS3!, resample x2 for the mono, drizzle x1.5 for the color. First pass to AstroSurface, then winJUPOS and because winJUPOS  doesn’t give very good result for the borders, I compose with 2 others output with only 4 movies at the beginning and at the end of the session then used Gimp to mix up all that. Again a little deconvolution in AstroSurface and the merge of the color in AstroSurface.

Later I will try to publish a video of this session. Maybe to not spend so much time it will be only a mono version.

Ami.e.s de la nuit,

voici ma première de Jupiter pour 2022 prise la même nuit que Saturne. Contrairement a Saturne, pas d’arbre pour interrompre la séance, juste des nuages. Je ne regrette rien car j’étais déjà fatigué et j’avais l’impression que le résultat ne serait pas trop mal et peut-être même mon meilleur pour cette planète. J’ai même eu droit a 3 satellites galiléens: Io Europe et Ganymède.

J’ai suivi ma nouvelle procédure (d’après un tutorial of J. L. Dauvergne ): prendre quelque vidéo en couleur, passer en mono (environ 1 heure) et finir avec la couleur a nouveau. Donc en tout 6 films couleurs et 32 monochrome. Pour chaque, AutoStakkert, ré-échantillonnage x2 et drizzle x1.5 pour la couleur. Première passe dans AstroSurface, puis winJUPOS et parce que winJUPOS ne s’avère pas terrible pour les bords, je compose avec 2 autres sorties faites avec les 4 premiers et derniers films de la session que je mix sous Gimp. Et encore une petite déconvolution sous AstroSurface et intégration de la couleur. Et voila:

Plus tard, je vais essayer de publier une petite vidéo de cette session. Peut-être pour ne pas y passer trop de temps, çà sera uniquement une version mono.
