Description

Here is my latest image processing project focusing on the re-observation of the Rosette Nebula. As before, the data was collected using the fully automated astronomy robot, Vaonis Vespera Classic (Mark I), over the course of eight independent nights spanning from December 2023 to January 2024.

I am delighted with the final image, as both the resolution and color appear significantly clearer and more natural compared to my previous work with the DSLR (you can view it in my earlier post: https://youtu.be/wJPspAQANJI). This improvement is primarily attributed to the higher resolution of the Vespera, with a pixel size of 2.9 µm, as opposed to the 6.57 µm pixel size of my old camera. Also the effect of narrowband filter was also contributed a lot for this pleasing result.
