Description

AR3664 is a massive sunspot which is nearly the largest ever recorded.  The largest is the Carrington sunspot recorded in 1859.  AR3664 emitted a large CME (coronal mass ejection) which arrived at the earth today.  Geomagnetic storms are expected which can disrupt GPS and radio communications as well as produce beautiful auroras.  If your GPS takes you to a place you have never been today,  you now know why.
