Description

Vdb-152, refered to as Wolf’s Cave Nebula, but I am going with Worm in Space.

So 5 hrs on 90mm Stellamira 90mm and ASI2600MC OSC and on second rig I captured 3 hrs of Ha with mono camera on AT106 EDT with reducer, the rotations didnt really match , but had enough of the Ha ribbon in in the FOV - I used PS to combine the Ha Then back into PI to screen in stars and final tweaks. The Ha is really, really faint....

5hrs of ASI2600MC OSC in 120s subs
3 hrs of 3nm Antlia Ha with ASI2600MM in 300s subs

The image really does not look anything like a wolf Cave, however; it just so happens that an astronomer named Max Wolf thought it looked like a cave upon discovery in 1908. vdb 152 is the blue reflection nebula embedded at the tip of the elongated dark nebula known as Barnard 175. The blue star illuminating it is presumed to just be a wandering star, as its velocity has been measured as being different than the cloud. Near the center-right is a very old planetary nebula known as Dengel-Hartl 5. The long red streaks are just a small portion of a very large and near supernova remnant SNR 110.3+11.3
