Description

Broadband!!!

Where is Comet C/2021 Y1 ATLAS among the starry expanse?  It's located twice in this 2 night composite of over 6 hours of integration time on the nights of September 22 & 23 2022.  I'll post the starless image shortly, but here's a hint, both nights of comet images are centrally located 1/3rd of the way up from the bottom edge of the frame.  More? - Just off the left of the lowest Ha cloud.  Give up?  Wait for my future post.

Top comet image is from 48 x 180 seconds  taken on September 22 and the lower comet image is 70 x 180 sec imaged on September 23.   All images registered and stacked in PixInsight.
