Description

I started astrophotography about a year ago, using a DSLR. This photo, taken with my Canon 600Da, is one of my latest. However, I have now switched to a ZWO ASI 533mc pro, which has improved my results even further. As a beginner, the Canon 600Da was ideal for me, and the astro modification greatly enhanced the quality of my pictures.

The image depicts the IC1805 Heart Nebula, an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia, in the Perseus arm of our Milky Way. At the center of this nebula lies the open star cluster Melotte 15.

While I'm quite happy with this photo, there is one thing that bothers me a bit. I'm still struggling to get the right star colors in Siril, especially when generating and combining the stars and the starsless mask. If anyone has any tips on how to improve this in Siril, I would greatly appreciate it.

Clear Skies
