Description

This funny little planetary nebula, also known as the Clown Face Nebula, is about 6,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Gemini. The dying star is casting off a gas shell that gives the appearance of a face inside a parka hood. I took this while waiting on the Leo Triplet to rise which was my real target for the evening. This is 225 20 second exposures.
