Description

Been working more with my Seestar S50 in between taking larger astrophotos with my NYX-101 mount.  Got this shot this morning.  This is 30 mins of subs.  I'm doubly impressed because I started this session around 4:45am so daylight was right around the corner.  I changed a few things with my setup.  First I switched the S50 to station mode.  This works great because now it is connected to your device via your home network.  You can now do anything you want with your phone while the app is running in background taking pictures.  I was answering texts and even playing games while the picture was accumulating.

I also enabled the new feature to save the subs along with the final image.  I have not processed the subs yet in PI but plan to do so soon.  It should be interesting to see if I can make any improvement on the stack vs what the Seestar does itself.  This image was processed with PixInsight (DBE, NXT, BXT, SCC, HST) and Photoshop (Levels, Curves, Sat, Crop).
