Description

The Pinwheel Galaxy, or M 101, is a spiral galaxy that is approximately 21 Million Light Years away from the Earth, and is estimated to contain about a trillion stars, making it one of the most known massive galaxies in our neighborhood. I have always been mesmerized with this galaxy for some reason. It's also not the most difficult target, but at the same time it's also somewhat tricky to process particularly when adding the continuum subtracted H-alpha regions and preventing those regions from blowing out. So I had to do some "manual HDR" style processing by having multiple copies stretched and layered on top. I hope you enjoy!
