Description

Triangulum is the 3rd largest member of the local group, only behind Andromeda and our own Milky Way.
It is a spiral galaxy that is ~2.7m light years away.  It is also considered the most distant deep sky object that can be viewed with the naked eye.

It is believed to have been discovered in 1654 by Giovanni Battista Hodierna.

I captured this in my Bortle 7 backyard with a Canon T3i, Esprit 100, guided on a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro mount.

It consists of 91x180s lights that were calibrated with darks, flats and flat-darks.

Processing was done in Pixinsight.
