Description

Oct 18, 2023. Got a little dewy / frosty in the upper right corner, then I spent 3 months buying and selling frost solutions until I settled now on a heated dew hood ("Astrozap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield with Bottom Notch for Celestron 8" SCT and RASA Telescopes "). plus Thousand Oaks controller.

(DON'T get the dew ring from Celestron. It is a drag and messes up stars.)

Want to shoot more of this, but it won't be until about 9 more months when it's back overhead

I live in the Pacific Northwest. It's dark where I am but usually cloudy (or raining or snowing).

I am really happy with how this turned out. Was the first shot I got that I was proud of with my Edge until I'd messed with it for about 2 months (with lots of clouds in there too).

I think it looks like an oil painting, but it's how it looks to my camera with my scope with my basic processing.
