Description

The field of view is a very well known part of the sky around Sadr (Gamma Cygni), the brightest star in the frame which lies at around 1800 light years away from home. The region around this star is filled with bright emission nebulae. Also present in the field and easy to find and identify is the Crescent Nebula, an emission nebula at around 5000 light years of distance from us. This region contains many other nebulae such as IC1311 or Sh2-104 as well as one Messier object, M29.
