Description

This object (PP 81; Parsamian & Petrosian; 1979) is certainly a rather rarely photographed one. The small reflection nebula is located at the upper end of the constellation Lupus, embedded in the dark nebula complex Barnard 228. What I particularly like, apart from the reflection nebula, is the structure of dark nebulae directly surrounding it. They remind me a little of a Phoenix carrying a flame in its chest. But enough about that, I don't actually like these figurative object names very much - let everyone make up their own mind here.

This time I invested a little more than usual in the RGB frames to give the dark nebulae "some color". On the other hand, the luminance fell somewhat by the wayside (I threw some away due to the seeing), but the almost 4 hours were enough. And since I'm not a very patient photographer, I'm already looking for other objects.
