Description

This is my first processed image in about 4 months at our Dark Sky remote observatory. Weather has been terrible for the last 3 months. During the last 2 nights there has been an opening between tornados and extreme weather to the north and south of us.  I've just finished writing a new website for the SOFAR observatory that includes a new weather center that reports real time telemetry and conditions plus integrates a lot of useful information on observatory conditions and seeing dashboards. We've had lightning strikes that took out the weather station and some other equipment that we are in the process of replacing.

I was surprised how well this image turned out with all the weather turmoil nearby.
