Description

I cropped this photo for a better view of Sh2-101 and the Cygnus X-1 Bow Shock. "A bow shock occurs when the magnetosphere of an astrophysical object interacts with the nearby flowing ambient plasma such as the solar wind", (Wikipedia). As I noted in the previous version, star HD226868 makes a complete orbit of the black hole in that region every 6-8 days. Simply amazing!!
