Description

Presenting the famous Crescent Nebula or NGC 6888. My main goal was to make little shy "Soap Bubble" visible.

I also managed to capture another interesting object:
The star to the right below the center of the image is P Cygni, representative of a class of variable, very rare blue supergiants. The stellar wind produces a so-called P Cygni profile in the spectrum. P Cyg is one of the most luminous stars in our galaxy. In the vicinity of P Cyg you can see hints of OIII filaments, which are possibly due to an earlier outburst of the star: https://cxielo.ch/project/p-cygni-nebula/.
In any case, a connection to the star seems to be obvious - otherwise how could a nebula shining in OIII exist there.

Hope you enjoy the picture. Any comment is appreciated.
