After the LMC and Scorpius' head from La Silla, back to backyard astrophotography

This uses data from four nights. The first two nights - with NGC 7000 as the main target - were pretty clear. But cirrus clouds frustrated me for the remainder of my summer vacation time. I made a mistake in the pointing for the eastward panel, leaving a gap that I could fill only on August 28 with an OK sky. The Samyang 135 is used at F/2.0.

All processing in Python except for the stitching, made with Phosohop's photomerge feature. I don't master what I'm doing with that step and there are visible seams left.

Rev. B (26 Jan. 2020): re-stitching with ICE, which provides better control of the projection. I improved the gradient correction, which resulted in better colors at the edges. The subs have also been re-stacked after I found a minor bug in my code.

Rev. C (09 Sep. 2020): improved stacking & star reduction & new stretch. Stitching still not perfect, and there is some gradient left over, but the best I can do for now.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
