Description

During the last days (March 2022) my cousin Tobias Lamb and I started our next cooperation project: The Hidden Galaxy IC 342. This beauty is covered behind a curtain of stars in our Milky Way and therefore photographed not so often. We had to change that

We achieved an exposure time of over 26 hours. About 18 hours RGB and 8 hours with Optolong L-eXtreme filter.

Telescopes we used:
10" Lacerta Newton 250/1000 (f/4)
8" Celestron EdgeHD 800 (f/7)

Image processing with Astro Pixel Processor, Siril 1.0.0, StarNet++ V2, Photoshop. Combination of both stacks (Newton & EdgeHD) was done in Photoshop manually.

Our locations: near Würzburg & Kronach (northern Bavaria, 110 km apart, Bortle 5)
