Description

I found this "cluster" in APT's database and again Stellarium knew nothing about it.  When I didn't see anything, I queried SIMBAD, and it reported that center of image was 13.7 arc seconds from target.  After it plate solved I saw just how tiny it was and lost within the multitude of other IC objects in the region. I figure the magnitude and distance are further out than my ED80 can reach.  I kept the data because I like the star patterns, I see the outline of a pair of eyes looking back at me in the top half the image.  This image is also the first image taken with the ED80 and the 6D, vignette was obvious but not nearly as much as it was with the 75 to 300mm lens from the previous nights.

I finally managed to dig this up on it a few days.  So I did a pixel dive into the center of the image and you can see I caught it as a faint smudge, though just barely, and I only see it because I know now what I am looking for, "a small nebulos cluster".
