Description

The data was recorded on 22 and 23 September 2022 from my backyard.

Sh2-114 is a faint, but impressive, nebula visible in the constellation Cygnus.

Sh2-114 is a little studied nebula, with a filamentous appearance and apparently made up of several superimposed arched filaments; it has a semicircle shape with the concavity oriented towards the south and seems to constitute, together with the nearby cloud Sh2-113, visible near the left side of the image here, a bubble structure similar to a supernova remnant. However, no supernova remnant has ever been described in this region. (paragraph partially excerpted from Italian Wikipedia)

In the field is also present the tiny Planetary Nebula PK083-08.1, above Sh2-113, a small white blob with a bluish halo.
