Dear AstroBinners!

Please rate my recent image!

Any advice on how to improve is welcome!

I use Siril 1.2.0

Your processing is much better than many others (beginners)

For Siril, I think you did good, but maybe desaturating the galaxy a tiny bit, and not increasing black point so much, would be a small improvement.

It obviously would look better with deconvolution, but Siril's deconvolution is weird and not understandable (at least for me); blurxterminator for pixinsight would have helped a lot.

What exactly is deconvolution? Is it like sharpening? Maybe there are plugins for siril? Like StarNet type thing

Yeah, it's sharpening.

I don't know of any plugin for Siril, but there is one free software I use sometimes; it's called Astrosharp https://github.com/deepskydetail/AstroSharp

On the Github website, press the green "<> Code" button, then "download zip", and then once you download it, just open the application.

It works okay, but not as good as BlurXT in Pixinsight.

I recommend using the "Second Beta" model, inside the Astrosharp software; that model seems to give the best results.

You can see the difference it makes on my image of M3:

Before Astrosharp: https://www.astrobin.com/0qa87m/B/?nc=collection&nce=32422#r0
After Astrosharp (and some curve tweaks): https://www.astrobin.com/0qa87m/B/?nc=collection&nce=32422#rB

Yea it seems like there is more in it! But if I keep stretching it gets noisy

Its the same data as in this image,

I dont get how is Adam Block getting such an insane result

Bro is subscribed to astrophotography premium or smth

Simply a gap in processing skill, I could also get similar results to him, maybe a little better - My own data is pretty bland but my processing is peak.

How do I learn to process like that? Whats the secret sauce?

Time and money, just like everything else in this hobby unfortunately. Pixinsight, RCA tools, DeepSNR, etc etc. Siril is pretty good freeware.

I uploaded a new revision! Brought out a little more details.

One thing to note- you're clipping your blackpoint, It's very much a game of trying to not make the background black, and rather a very dark shade of gray.

You may want to look into zoned saturation limiting, and GHS to help eliminate some of that noise.

Balance is key, not only in life, but also in astrophotography
