It is worthwhile to use 50X50mm square filters (instead of the round ones) iin full frames cameras, considering the higher cost? Is this only to avoid vignette? Is there another advantages? |

Sampaio (rafaelss123)It is worthwhile to use 50X50mm filters in full frames cameras, considering the higher cost? HI IF YOU USE the 36mmx24mm full frame format you must necessarily use 50mm diameter filters. For full frame 36mm x 36mm cameras they necessarily require 50x 50 square filters. I have an f7 instrument with the zwo 2600 camera, I use 36mm filters very close to the sensor and there is still a minimum of vignetting |

Unless you are shooting faster than f3 round unmounted 50mm filters will work with minimal or none vignette. |
