I have produced a video showing the process of removing and washing the primary mirror of my 8" RC. This should not be done very often, but dirt will accumulate on the primary over time, and it is not too hard to take the scope apart and putting it back together again. You will have to align and collimate the scope afterwards, and as always there is some risk of damage involved when taking things apart, so you should only do this if you are comfortable with the process and the risk involved.
