Description

Shooting again Rho Ophiuchi from the same spot as last year, with C/2017 K2 in the frame this time.
It is always very low on horizon at this time of the year when I can start shooting, and very fast plunging under the Atlantic Ocean. So integration time is limited to ~ 30 minutes per night, I could only get 1 clear night.
My secret weapon was the Mitakon Speedmaster 85mm f/1.2, closed down to f/2 to limit the coma (but not sufficiently I am afraid....), and get enough light to start to see the colors of this fantastic region of the sky.
The lighthouse that illuminates the Atlantic ocean is called "Les Poulains", and is very famous in France, thanks to some pictures of it taken in the storm.
