Description

About 1300 lightyears distant from Earth, one can find the Iris Nebula with the open cluster NGC7023. It is a reflection nebula, caused by a very hot central star, SAO19158. The brown tint of the pervasive dust comes partly from photoluminescence — dust converting ultraviolet radiation to red light.

My aim was to expose the subs in such a way that the very bright central part remains visible to show as many details as opticall possible with my equipment.
