Description

Time-lapse animation created from 190 recordings between 10:33 and 12:18UT on July 27th 2022. Each recording was 25 seconds long with a framerate of 135fps (3375 frames) and a 5 seconds delay between each recording. The recordings where made using an PlayerOne Mars-M together with a Lunt CaK B1200 Module through a FLO StellaMira 80 ED f/10 and a Coronado CeMax 2x Barlow (measured to 1.83x for this position). This gives a focal-length of 1465mm and a sampling of 0.41" per pixel.

The telescope was mounted on an Sky-Watcher SolarQuest AltAz mount.

The best (sharpest) 100 frames from each recording was stacked in AutoStakkert!3 before they were aligned, sharpened and contrast-stretched in ImPPG. The animation was created in PIPP at 30 fps effectively compressing the 1 hour 45 minutes of duration down to 6 seconds.
