Description

The first attempt at NGC 6888. I struggled with some difficulties during the processing. I think, for a beginner like me, it's not an easy object. I plan to reprocess the images again. I may have overdenoised and sharpened the blue filaments, resulting in artifacts and blue pixels. It seems that there are still some artifacts in the image due to Startnet++. However, I want to document my progress and setbacks overall. I hope you still like the image.

The Crescent Nebula, also known as NGC 6888, is approximately 4,700 light-years away from Earth and is located in the constellation Cygnus (the Swan). The nebula is illuminated by a Wolf-Rayet star, which is believed to have expelled the gas that forms the nebula. The nebula has a visual magnitude of around 10 mag.
