Description

Welp, here's my contribution to the most iconic and over-imaged object in the universe. I was going to skip it in favor of hunting more obscure prey, but here we are. The horsehead is also known as Barnard 33 and stands in front of a curtain of hydrogen-II called IC434. The Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) is parked to the left, with the super bright star Alnitak on the corner. Alnitak is the easternmost star in Orion's Belt. This horse gallops with its accompanying clouds of dust about 1,350 light-years away.
