Description

Cygnus is filled with ionized hydrogen, but also a surprising amount of oxygen. In this SHO palette narrowband image, you can see one of the prettiest OIII objects, WR134, as an arc of blue on the left side, with the much more commonly imaged Tulip Nebula (Sh2-101) on the right.

You can see a bit of the bow shock around the Tulip to its right. The small patch of OIII signal just below the Tulip appears to be uncatalogued--it could be an old planetary (or just a random bit of oxygen in the area). The two straight streaks of nebulosity near the center are also very interesting, and something I hadn't noticed before.
