Description

Messier 31 the Andromeda Galaxy can be seen easily by naked eye from suburban skies. Although it is a standard object for beginners in astrophotography, the Andromeda Galaxy contains some interesting details. In addition to the variable stars that Edwin Hubble discovered, there are also numerous globular clusters that can be identified in short focal length images. But my goal was to make the outer halo structures visible. But the exposure would have had to be longer for that. I have included an inverted stretched version next to the full resolution version.
