Description

Be sure to check out the 'revisions'! I uploaded hi-res images from this session all as revisions, to keep them together and not clutter my gallery as much.

This timelapse is of AR3311 before it was named, and before it had rotated into full view. It's still behind the solar limb a little on the 17th. But it was putting on such a good show, a boiling cauldron of plasma!

All the talk that day was on AR3310 which was just rotating into view slightly below AR3311, and it had just produced a potential X-class flare while partly obscured by the limb. I gave it a good look, but the activity on AR3311 looked more interesting to me.

I had to heavily crop and drop frames off each end of the animation to get it under 50mb unfortunately, but I retained the best parts. it was so windy the frame was jumping around real bad anyhow.

Time laps was from 09:24 EDT to 12:50 EDT, though I cut a little off each end to fit the 50MB limit. 30" videos, 30" pause between each. Stacked best 300 frames of each. Same for the images, which were all shot slightly prior to the 09:24 start of the timelapse. Over 1TB of video was taken for this session, and it took over 16hrs to stack on my minipc lol but it got the job done! Thanks for the batch processing automation in autostakkert and imppg so it can do that while I'm sleeping.
