Description

Reprocessed an old stacked image I had laying around with Photoshop and the Topaz software suite.  One of my first sessions with the ASI2600MC Pro and Starizona SCT Corrector IV.  Image has been massively upscaled, so displayed pixel scale below is incorrect.  My pixel scale is ~.55"/px

Title: Crab Nebula reprocess (new methods) v1

Description: I have been away from AB for quite some time now. This image is from the same light data but I stacked it using AstroPixelProcessor. APP provides more accurate and higher quality stacking than DSS in my experience. My Photoshop workflow has been revamped and I have learned the art of mid-tone adjustment (Thanks Jim ;). I stopped using Topaz DeNoise or try my best to avoid it since it uses reconstruction to artificially create detail that isn't really there. On this image I used NoiseXTerminator, which I believe uses similar denoising methods as DeNoise but it doesn't appear to do any reconstruction. GradienXTerminator is also a great tool to use when necessary. I feel like this image came out pretty good and is superior to the previous version. Obviously it is not the best I can do, but I'm still learning. Clear Skies!
