Description

SNR G156.2+5.7 is a large supernova remnant in the constellation Auriga. This is large but extremely faint. When I started capturing data from my bortle 7 backyard in San Jose back on Nov, 2023, I could only find one other image on Astrobin. My first goal was to capture as much Ha as possible. I kept on capturing and stacking data over a couple of months.  I only started seeing some traces of Ha after around 25 hours. After around 84 hours, I wasn't seeing more Ha so I started on capturing broadband. It was extremely challenging to capture and get a clean LRGB image due to winter weather in the bay area and sky glow. After processing around eighteen times , I am finally ok with this image.
