Description

This pair of galaxies, also known as Arp 120, are at about 52 million light years away in Virgo.  Quite a bit of tidal distortion can be seen and lots of starburst activity due to the gravitational interaction between the two. This was a great target for my 14.5" iDk. I had some great clear nights while imaging these two so the data was fairly easy to process. This was a fun project.
