Description

NGC 6769, NGC 6770, NGC 6771 and IC 4842/4845This impressive image captures the galactic interaction in the galaxy group known as NGC 6769/6770/6771, located in the constellation Pavo. In the center of the image, three galaxies - NGC 6769 (on the left), NGC 6770 (on the right), and NGC 6771 (below) - are in a fascinating process of merging and gravitational interaction, creating a spectacular view of star formations and gravitational distortions

The NGC 6769/6770/6771 group is an excellent example of how gravity can shape and transform galaxies over time. These galaxies are located approximately 190 million light-years away from Earth and are part of the Pavo-Indus galaxy cluster.

In addition to the main galaxies, this image also features the objects IC 4842 and IC 4845. IC 4842 is visible in the upper left corner, while IC 4845 can be found at the bottom of the image.
