Description

I was browsing around in Stellarium looking for a nice narrowband target for my Askar FMA180 Pro.  When some clear nights came along, four in a row actually, I took advantage of it and went after this shot.  It was quite a challenge to process given the overpowering Ha signal.  I ended up using Ha as luminance to tone things down a bit, and it seems to have worked out.  I didn't notice the tiny planetary nebula PK172+00.1 (below M38) until I happened to zoom in on the starless version.  You can see it below in the PixInsight annotated image.

The Ha signal was so impressive I almost wanted to do an HOO version of this.  Here's the stacked, starless Ha result.
