FIRST LIGHTof my self-made telescope Hiermit präsentiere ich euch nun das erste Bild meines selbst gebautem Teleskopes.Bin überglücklich, dass alles sofort funktioniert hat.😃😃😃😃 Ich war lange am überlegen, welches das erste Ziel des neuen Teleskopes werden soll.Mein Plan war ein Objekt zu finden, welches ich bereits vorher mit anderen Teleskopen abgelichtet hatte, um einen Vergleich zu haben, damit man die Leistung des Teleskopes besser einschätzen kann.Zu Auswahl standen die Plejaden, der Orion Nebel und der Mond. Da zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme der Mond sehr hell am Himmel stand, war auch dieser die erste Wahl für die Aufnahme, weil die Nebel duch das helle Mondlicht etwas beeinträchtigt waren. FIRST LIGHT of my self-made telescope. I hereby present you the first picture of my self-built telescope. I am overjoyed that everything worked immediately.😃😃😃😃 I thought for a while about my first target with the new telescope. My plan was to find an object that I had previously photographed with other telescopes to have a comparison so that you can better assess the telescope's performance. The choices were the Pleiades, the Orion Nebula and the Moon. Since the moon was very bright at the time the picture was taken, this was also the first choice for the picture, as the fog was somewhat affected by the bright moonlight.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
