Description

Thought I would post this for others to see just what the Seestar S50 can do on this classic nebula.  This is ONLY a 2.5 minute exposure.  M42, as we all know, is so bright that anything more than the 2.5 minutes just blows out the entire object.  I probably could have even done with a tad less but not too much.  I did post on this image with PixInsight using DBE, NXT and BXT and then moved over to Photoshop for a little levels and curves work.  It is not too over processed but you can easily see the Seestar S50 really does a nice job with this object. The fact that it is so bright certainly helps.
