Description

Shown here are wisps of IFN near the celestial pole. This is part of a large "stream" of wisps that extends across tens of degrees of the sky- but it is outside of the frame typically captured by astrophotographers looking at structures near Polaris. If anyone knows a name for this wispy stream... let me know. It is very faint and basically colorless (at least at the S/N I am able to achieve).

One of the interesting elements of this data set is that for a large fraction of the images my camera was loose and rotating.... I demonstrate in my content on my site how to use Normalization (both Local Normalization and NSG) to make it possible to stack these frames in a seamless way. Although few people will have this particular issue- there are many issues in this family and I consider this an important real-world lesson in using PixInsight and image processing to keep data that a typical imager would throw away.
