Description

M5 is a globular cluster in the constellation of Serpens, with an apparent magnitude of 5.7, it is visible to the naked eye in ideally dark sites, but is in fact very difficult due to the star 5 Ser about 20 arcmin from M5. M5 contains more than 100k stars, and with an estimated 13 billion years of age, it is one of the oldest globular cluster of the milky way. The dataset is an RGB composition generated from @blackrig 's 10" reflectory (Moana project). Total integration time is 126 minutes.
