Description

Hi everybody,

Abell 33 is a planetary nebula located 2700 light years away in the constellation of Hydra. It lies just behind the star HD 83535 which seems to rise.

This image is a bit "non conventionnal". It is only RGB with no luminance. The Red layer was very sharp (1" to 1,35" fwhm frames). So I took it for the stars. The Blue layer was 1,8". Took it with the G layer for the nebula. The composition is :

- Stars : R layer
- Nebula : G+B layers
- Background and colors : RGB
We might add some luminance next year.
Hope you will like this faint nebula. Not very often seen.

Acquisition from S.Brunier / C2PU. Processing JF Bax.

Look at the full resolution please. The central star is a bicolor double star
